Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic benefits the body and its systems within the body by restoring motion within the spine and joints throughout the body, reducing pressure on the spinal nerves, decreasing muscle spasms, and reducing pain. Dr. Dustin Ferrell, DC is  specifically trained to detect and correct mis-alignments in the spine (vertebral subluxations) that can lead to pain and dysfunction in the body. Dr. Ferrell are trained in multiple chiropractic techniques: Diversified, Thompson Drop and Activator/Arthrostim techniques.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

Chiropractic adjustments, also known as spinal manipulations, are the art of removing spinal misalignments throughout the spine. This process has many benefits, such as restoring motion within the joint, reducing pressure on the spinal nerves, decreasing muscle spasms and increasing range of motion throughout the spine.

Kid’s & Chiropractic

A child encounters many physical stresses during their growing years. The resulting problems in children’s spines can occur at almost any point in their development and growth.  Since significant spinal trauma can occur at, or prior to birth, many parents elect to have their newborn’s spine checked right after birth. Many developmental milestones such as learning to hold up the head, sitting upright, crawling, and walking are all activities that are affected by spinal alignment and are important times to have a child checked by a chiropractor. Additionally, falls, sports injuries, playground bumps, heavy school bags and sitting all day in the classroom are all physical stresses to the growing child’s spine and nervous system.
